Help Needed ASAP to End Flooding of Our Sanctuary!

Since 2022, the Center of the Heart Sanctuary has experienced flooding 4 times due to the heavy rains in Santa Barbara..  This means we have had to hire people and use volunteers to wet/vacuum, sand bag, move the furniture, clean the carpet, as well as paid for equipment to deal with the flooding.

Since another incoming storm system leaves our sacred space vulnerable to potential flooding and subsequent damage, we have had to take some emergency measures.

Thanks to Brian Bailey, our newest Core Council member, he has found a contractor friend (Cicileo Plumbing) to alleviate this problem through an installation of a sump pump system that will direct the water away from the building!

However, this Sump Pump Installation costs $3500

In an effort to address this issue promptly and ensure the preservation of our church building, we are launching a fundraising campaign to cover the costs of the necessary sump pump repair. The total cost for this repair is $3500.

We understand that times may be challenging for some, but we believe that by coming together as a community, we can overcome this obstacle and continue to thrive as a congregation.

Your support is pivotal to the success of this campaign.

Here's how you can contribute:

Monetary Donations: Any financial contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact. Please consider making a one-time donation or a recurring monthly contribution to help us reach our goal.

Our goal is to get this sorted pronto and keep our church cozy and dry. Big, huge thanks for being the amazing community that you are! Let's tackle this together and keep our church shipshape.

Sincerely,
Rev. Maryum Morse & Core Council
