Prayer for Comfort

God is my comfort. When the winds bluster and knock me unsteady, God is with me. When it seems as if all are against me, God enfolds me in love and acceptance. I am strengthened and I am held safe, come what may. I know that God is with me. I learn to look within for peace and God sends me demonstrations of help to remind me that I am not alone.

When I think I have no food to nourish my body, God sends an invitation from someone who not only feeds me but gives me wisdom and direction. Before I speak of lack, a banquet is spread out in front of me. God forever cares for me and my faith and confidence grows.

God never leaves me hanging in the wind. I am forever cloaked in love and draw strength and faith to carry on.

How truly grateful I am for all these reminders of the unity and the wholeness in which I live and have my being. How precious it is to know I am beloved and always to be comforted by the Most High. It is my birthright to be adored. God in truth has got my back. I give thanks for this truth.

I let go and let God. I let go and let it be.

And so it is, Amen.
